Ruang Lingkup Pekerjaan
Secara umum teknologi dan sistem informasi selalu berkaitan dengan dua aspek yaitu perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak. Teknologi informasi digolongkan menjadi 2 bagian, yaitu perangkat lunak (software) dan perangkat keras (hardware).
Perangkat keras menyangkut pada peralatan-peralatan yang bersifat fisik, seperti memory, printer, juga keyboard. Sedangkan perangkat lunak terkait dengan instruksi-intruksi untuk mengatur perangkat keras agar bekerja sesuai dengan tujuan instruksi-instruksi tersebut. Ruang Lingkup Teknologi dan Sistem Informasi meliputi :
(1) Teknologi masukan (input technology)
(2) Teknologi keluaran (output tecnology)
(3) Teknologi perangkat lunak (Software Technology)
(4) Technology penyimpan (storage technology)
(5) Teknologi komunikasi (communicaton technology)
(6) Mesin pemproses (processing mechine) atau CPU.
